A message from Ch 7 Tee David Hagen re pending PI asset claims on
Hello colleagues,
I had a Chapter 7 341a hearing with David Hagen today and he asked me to
spread the word that with respect to pending personal injury asset claims,
he appreciates having some detailed info and analysis on Schedule B so that
he can easily ascertain the claim and/or whether he needs to continue the
hearing for more info from the PI attorney.
Here is what I listed in my schedules that he liked and told me to pass on
to you:
Maximum recovery from insurance company is $35,000 total:
Medical liens are approx. $15,000
Attorney fee (40%) approx. $14,000
Debtor's max. approx. $6,000 (Exempted on Schedule C)
I realize this info isn't always available depending upon how far along the
case is, but if you have it, use it so the trustee can wrap up his case
faster.
