You should have your client prepay a quarter. For example, if his
disbursements look like this:
15,250
15,250
15,250
15,250
(quarterly fees are: 650 + 650 + 650 + 650 $2,600)
stagger them by paying say $325 early to get the following distribution:
$15,575
$14,925
$15,575
$14,925
(quarterly fees are: $1,950)
You just saved them $650. You save them more if you were at a different
breakpoint. Can stagger plan payments too if the case is anticipated to
remain open for a while. It doesn't make that much of a difference but when
your client is working an extra job to pay your fees, every bit helps.
