Deeds of trust as exhibits

I object to documents all the time when the complete document is not enclosed. I also would have a title search. Deeds of Trust can be subordinated, so if you are trying to show lien priority, you have to show that the DOT has not been subordinated or somehow the priority of recordation date was not otherwise changed.

I would recommend against that because what do you do if challenged? What
does the front page show, that some document was recorded on some date
(allegedly). What does the document contain? Maybe it's for a different
note, etc.

I would say if all you use it for is to prove the date of the recording, then it's fine to use the first page only. Make sure that's explicit in the pleading.
