By the way, child support is NOT property of the child under CA law. It is
"property" of the child's guardian, parent or custodian.

Subject: [cdcbaa] Child Support and Exemptions
I have a client who is owed $100,000 in child Support. Might be collectible
as the one who owes the money is a Actor who will inevitably pay up on the
back support.
I am having a brain freeze here...but...
Is the Child Support something that could be fully exempt in a Chapter 7?

Only exemption is in 703.140 - to the extent reasonably necessary.
No comparable 704 exemption
