SSN on 341a notice
One (not me, but someone) might argue that that negates all the other
privacy steps we all have to take.

Has to be done that way so that creditors who get the notice can identify the debtor.

I'm sure everyone else noticed this already, but I just saw that the court
lists debtors' full social security number on the 341a notices. I just
called the court to inquire about this and they said (after verifying) that
yes, in fact, they are supposed to show the full SSN, and not just the last
4 digits as it says on the form.
Considering everything we go through to redact the numbers on payment
advices and on the petition and schedules, how far beyond ludicrous is this?
Interestingly, the 341a notice on the docket has the SSN redacted (except
for the last 4 digits) but not the one that gets mailed out to everyone, who
can do with it as they please, including throwing it on the sidewalk for the
rest of the public to view.
I just find this ironic or something..
