Obama Says Chrysler Bankruptcy Process Will Be 'Quick,' Not Disruptive
Maybe this will be like Bankruptcy 101 for the public and for the president. They cannot do what they want very easily. It might take a new Bankruptcy Reform Act & maybe they will make other changes while they are at it to Ch 7 and ch 13. It would be an end run not so easily attacked by the banks.

President Obama said the Chrysler bankruptcy process will be "quick" and
will not disrupt Chrysler operations. In midday remarks, he said that thanks
to sacrifices by the company, employees and big debtholders -- and an
alliance with Fiat -- the "necessary steps have been taken" to give
Chrysler "a new lease on life." He also said that GMAC has agreed to finance
Chrysler sales.
