Hello!
Really nice clients were in loan modification process and wanted to
file a Chapter 7, they had a realtor working with them and she saw no
issues.
They hire a new team of loan mod "specialists" and now these people
are hounding me because Aurora won't work with my clients on a loan
mod unless I sign a reaffirmation.
(1) Aurora has not sent us a loan mod, they apparently think I write them. Ha!
(2) How would it not be a big fat LIE if I sign that my clients have
the ability to pay this mortgage in its current condition when they
flat out canNOT?
I think the clients should get their discharge (Chapter 7) and then we
file a 13, strip the 2nd and deal with the first. Is that a horrible
idea?
Any advice? How do you all deal with these issues?
I am trying to rewrite my retainer so it is clear I do nothing nada
zippo with loan modifications from now on.

"Exactly."
