Contact the tax collector first. If they refuse to follow the plan, reopen the case.

Subject: [cdcbaa] Prepetition Real Property Taxes Paid Through Ch 11 Plan
A confirmed chapter 11 plan provides for the payment of prepetition real property taxes in equal payments over a 60 month period. The debtors are current on postpetition real property taxes and also on their plan payments. The tax collector continues to add penalties and interest to the unpaid prepetition claim. Will these penalties and interest be discharged when the debtors receive their discharge upon completion of the plan? interest?
Thank you for any comments/advice.

Should I reopen the case to have the court rule on the penalties and interest?
