Old case & Reaff
Case filed ch. 7 under old law. Discharged and closed in 2005. Client did not sign ReAff, paid off car in full
within the next 2 yrs. Client recently pulls credit report and the finance co. says "included in bankruptcy"
but also says "write-off". Finance co. says that's how they do it because she didn't sign the ReAff. No one
was signing them then if debtor was current. Shouldn't the car co. change it to "paid as agreed". She spoke
with their supervisor who told her that's how they do it. Told her to get something in writing from the co.
that says that's how they do it. Anyone else run into this?
Client doesn't want the 'write-off' on her credit report.
