Subject: [cdcbaa] Wells Fargo is not allowing debtors who did not reaffirm their mortage loans to obtain financing
I have a former client who received a discharge in 2009.
She did not reaffirm her home loan with Bank of America, but made all of the payments on time.
She has now bought a new home and applied for financing with Wells Fargo.
Wells is refusing to give her the loan. The stated reason is, according to her, that she did not reaffirm her loan with Bank of America in the bankruptcy. Its not her score. Its not the bankruptcy. She has provided her on time payment history to Wells.
I told her to tell Wells Fargo bye bye and go to another lender.
Anyone else have any similar experiences?
