Is California State Worker's Compensation Reimbursement Dischargeable?
There is a 9th Circuit case but it dealt with Arizona law. I cannot
remember the case. In Arizona, they have a similar system as California
State Fund which pays out when an employer does not have WC insurance. You
will need to figure out if the case applies to CA.

Hi Everyone,
One of PC's employees was injured on the job at PC's business. PC did NOT have WC insurance. California pays disability benefits to injured worker and now seeks reimbursement from PC. Dischargeable???
