Jon,
With Bestcase; first export from the appropriate schedule to a CSV file,
this will give you the format which you can open in excel. You can then
manipulate the excel data you have to match the column headings you need to
import it back into Bestcase. Works great. You can export import into most
of the schedules.
I have a corp ch7 with hundreds of accounts receivable I was able to import
into Sched B:16 , same for creditors.
Best regards

Can you imagine the amount of creditor calls and letters that you will have to deal with? It could be overwhelming. Also, the debt must be enormous.

Jon,
I'm about to do a similar case for a corporation. At first, I solicited quotes from outside data entry people and was just going to pass the cost along to the client. But my client decided (well, its principal decided) to do the data entry himself in Excel with very specific instructions (from my software provider) as to what needs to be in each field. Depending on what software you use, you should be able to import the excel directly into the bankruptcy petition software (assuming the fields are done correctly). I use Best Case.
Contact me off list if you want any more specifics.

I am going to file a ch 7 for an atty. We need to list something like 2-3,000 creditors. I have an excel database with the names and addresses. Anyone know how to do this without having my whole staff quit, run off screaming into the darkness? Jon
