I was told that its costs $10/month for the Chapter 13 trustees to
administer a confirmed 13. So, when I proposed a plan paying less than
$100/month, the trustee told me on the record at the 341(a) meeting that he
would do whatever it took to get my case dismissed. It took me over a year
to confirm the case and we ultimately had to pay over $100. That was when
the Trustee's take was about 10%; so, I imagine it is more like $117.65 now
that the trustee's take is around 8.5% -- double-check that.

I seem to recall there is or was a rule requiring a minimum Chapter 13 Plan payment, or at least a minimum amount that had to go toward Chapter 13 trustee fees. Is this the case? I have a PC that received a Chapter 7 discharge 6 years ago that needs to file as he has over $200k in general unsecured debt. His only source of income is Social Security. I can probably find $60 surplus in his budget to go toward a Plan.

In the San Fernando Valley, is there a minimum Chapter 13 Plan payment that is mandated?
