Thanx Hank!
I believe that it is incumbent upon all debtor attys -- especially members of CDCBAA, to show respect both for the bk system and for their clients by dressing appropriately ("lawyerly"). Otherwise we look like the debtors.

Subject: [cdcbaa] Dress for 341(a)
For what it is worth:
I was at 341(a)s this morning in Los Angeles. As usual, I was in slacks and a shirt and a sweater. Many other lawyers were in slacks and open shirts. In each case, the trustee took us aside after the hearing and said the US Trustee now insists that all lawyers look lawerly. Several others were in sport coats with open shirts (appearance attorneys and others). I dont know if the got the same notice.
I know many of our astemed members dress the same way at 341(a)s and have been doing so for many years.
