Dear Colleagues!
The Court is actively developing a new front page on its ("our") website. One of the beneficial features of the future website is the ability to search. Visitors to the new website will be able to search for specific content or for a particular form. The Court is seeking input from our organization to develop a list of rich key words/terms that attorneys may use to quickly locate forms.
Below is a description of the assistance the Court is seeking and how to contribute.
The use of key words/terms improve search results. For example, LBR form F2090-1.2 is titled, "Application of Non-Resident Attorney to Appear in a Specific Case."
It is possible, however, that an attorney searching for this form would search by the term, pro hac vice. By including this term as a key word, the search will return
the form for the attorney to select.
Commonly misspelled words are also helpful to include as key words. As an example, there are 13 LBR forms which include the word, lien. Should someone misspell the word by typing, lein, they will get a message that says their search "yielded no results." However, by including the misspelled word in the key word search term on each of these forms, all 13 will be returned for the visitor to select.
Using Google Documents, a spreadsheet has been created to collect search terms, and may be accessed here. The form has three columns:
1) LBR Number
2) LBR Form Title
3) Key Word Search Terms
For those who would like to assist in populating the key word search terms, please enter terms which you might use in a search. Feel free to add commonly misspelled words, too. Terms should be separated by a comma. The spreadsheet is automatically saved after every entry. Contributions to this project should be provided by Friday, May 18, 2012.
The Court really appreciates our assistance here!. I
Regards,
