Tom:
It was nice meeting you the other day, and hearing your report to the Bankruptcy Committee on 1/15.
In the ordinary course of events, you would be delivering essentially the same report to the Section Executive Committee.
But I don't think you were on the email list for that second meeting which was Thursday, 1/17.
I would like you to attend in the future.
Our LACBA Section representative says that the notice issue may have to do with the fact that while you are a LACBA member, you are not registered as a member of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section for an additional $35 annual fee.
The members of both the Bankruptcy Committee and the Executive Committee need to be members of the Section unless they are Judges or US Trustees, or engaged full time in pro bono activities.
When you renew your LACBA registration, please add the section; if you have already registered, please figure out how to add the section (they will help you if you call 213 627-2727 and ask for Danielle Jones, our section rep.
Thanks, Tom.
Jason
