Notes From NACBA - 2/13/2013
To all cdcbaa members:
I have been acting as the NACBA local chair for many years, but I have decided to become more proactive about providing you with information from NACBA and soliciting your input for projects that NACBA is working on to the benefit of us all.
NACBA has monthly conference calls for its local chairs around the nation. Starting today, my goal is to send out an email report on those meetings through the cdcbaa listserve.
In anticipation of these meetings, please let me know if you have:
1. issues which you believe may generally affect the consumer practice,
2. specific cases which impact important issues of law and want to request some support from the NACBA amicus project,
3. news of general interest to report.
I will be glad to carry these back to NACBA and provide you with contacts.
During the meeting held this morning NACBA has asked us to:
* identify chapter 7 trustees who are demanding the production of more documents than debtors are required to produce under the Code or Rules. The United States Trustee has developed a list of documents which it is appropriate for a Trustee to request. That list appears in a Best Practices report which can be accessed at the address below. http://www.justice.gov
