blockquote, div.yahoo_quoted { margin-left: 0 !important; border-left:1px #715FFA solid !important; padding-left:1ex !important; background-color:white !important; } I have a PC (most likely chapter 7) who wants to file BK relatively soon but just moved to CA 2 months ago. He doesn't meet the 90 day residency requirement just yet. He will still have to use the Florida exemptions where he lived for the past several years. He owned a business (LLC) in Florida, and incurred most or all of his debts there, but owns no real property there. If he doesn't have a preference as to where he files, is willing/able to travel to Florida for a creditor meeting, and found an attorney in Florida (who he says is expensive), is there any real reason I should recommend he file here in CA, other than convenience? Thanks for any input.
