BAP v. District Court

Can anyone offer some first-hand thoughts regarding an appeal of a relief from stay order to the BAP versus the Central District Court? I am familiar with the various treatise discussions on the topic. But I would like to know, specifically, things like: which process typically takes longer these days? What are the chances of getting a stay of the stay order pending appeal? Do District Court judges seem hostile toward these appeals because they know that the parties could have consented to BAP review? And anything else that you didn't know would happen until it happened. Thanks.
