I would also suggest if there was and is no equity, no one will care. If there is equity that could be protected, then possibly treat it as hers and protect it.

Her concern is that about 2 years ago (she thinks) she transferred her home to her son so that the mortgage could be refinanced in his name and with his good credit score. The widows husband was not the best businessman around and there are many outstanding judgments and liens against the husband (now deceased) and some may against her, hence the consideration of the Chapter 7 bankruptcy. How long can the Chapter 7 trustee look back on the transfer of the house to the son as it may not have been for FMV?

A widow has approached me about a Chapter 7 BK. Her concern is that about 2
years ago (she thinks) she transferred her home to her son so that the
mortgage could be refinanced in his name and with his good credit score.
The widows husband was not the best businessman around and there are many
outstanding judgments and liens against the husband (now deceased) and some
may against her, hence the consideration of the Chapter 7 bankruptcy. How
long can the Chapter 7 trustee look back on the transfer of the house to the
son as it may not have been for FMV?
