Homestead exemption on duplex

yes, as long as he is living in one of the units he can take his homestead exemption.

I have a PC with a duplex, living on one side renting out the other.
Same APN - so county considers it one property.
He can take his homestead exemption on the whole property, right?
I searched the emails because I was thinking there was already a thread
on this but was unable to find it.
