Call the Judge's courtroom deputy, or if you can figure out who the clerk assigned to discharges is, call directly and tell them discharge and no asset report dates; they may close it on the phone. If not, leave case number and information; they will close quickly.

I have a case that has been pending with the court for over a year. The case was discharged last year but stayed open because the trustee filed a notice of assets and dividend but eventually filed a report of no distribution. The client has been trying to work out a loan modification with her residence but the bank will not work with her until the case is closed out stating that the automatic stay is preventing them from doing so. Is there anything I could file or someone at the court I could speak with that could close the case out?
Thank you in advance for your help.
