My client recently filed chapter 7 bankruptcy. She had already been approved for a private student loan with Sallie Mae, but it had not all been disbursed yet.
After receiving notice of the bankruptcy, Sallie Mae cancelled the loan. So now my client can't afford to finish school.
Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this, or what options are available to my client?
Thank you in advance for you help!
Respectfully,
Alisa
