It sounds like a 523(a)(6) claim

If the plaintiff was awarded attorney's fees in the non bankruptcy form for a 523(a)(6) claim then they are part of that claim.

I have a potential debtor client who lost a state court case defense
involving gender violence & battery. The Plaintiff's attorneys were
awarded substantial attorney's fees. Is there any cause for concern that
the attorney fee award would not be dischargeable in a ch7 bankruptcy? Any
insight would be appreciated.
