Hello Jason:I don't think that there is one assistant US Attorney representing the IRS in bankruptcy court. However, one of the assistants is a fellow named Gavin Greene, at 213/894-4600 (direct line). Good guy, he'll tell you who is handling your particular case. - John D. Faucher818/889-8080

Subject: RE: [cdcbaa] Order for Contempt and Sanctions Dear Nancy, A few years ago I had problems collecting from an out-of-state stay violator. When I mentioned this to Jill Sturtevant, she offered to help. The USTs Office contacted the malefactor, and shortly thereafter I received an apologetic call from the violators attorney. Payment came within a couple of days. I now have a similar scenario with some alleged humans at Rothstein Acquisitions, LLC, in New York. I just sent them a copy of Judge Basons sanctioning order, with a cover letter asking for payment. Given what I know about Rothstein (Google them if you want more information), I suspect that I will need help from the UST again. Rothstein appears to be one of a new wave of quasi-criminal debt collectors who represent such sterling companies as Check into Cash (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allan_Jones_(businessman) for the history of Check into Cashs founder, Allan Jones, who bought the State legislation that allows him to do business.). They call and call and call regardless of the bankruptcy filing. When my client told one of the Rothstein callers that she had filed for Chapter 13 protection, her interlocutor said that bankruptcy wouldnt protector her. This new breed of debt collector frequently threatens the debtor with jail time for failure to pay the debt, does not have a website, and does not provide its address. I used the proof of service address on the New York Corporations website to serve them. Ill let you know if they ever actually pay. All the best, Nick Nicholas Gebelt Nicholas Gebelt, Ph.D., J.D.
