Does a NOD ever Expire?
I know that a Notice of Sale expires after 365 days from the original sale date per CCP section 2924g (not including tolling for BK or due to an injunction).
But does a Notice of Default ever expire? I see nothing obvious in the code. My client got an NOD almost 3 years ago, and no NOS. He attempted modification which failed, then nothing. Does he have to live perpetually under the threat of a sale 21 days out, or at some point must the FC company re notice the Default?
