Peter Holland, Visiting Professor at University of Maryland School of
Law, published
a recent paper on Defending Junk-Debt-Buyer Lawsuits. In it, he provides
an overview of the industry as well as some information for those of us who
also defend collection lawsuits. Even if you don't do that sort of thing,
the knowledge is useful inasmuch as it provides a backdrop for possible
claims objections.
