Current percentage for compensation of Chapter 13 Trustees
Posted: Sat Feb 14, 2015 2:33 pm
Hale: Before you are finished your fee app, you know how long it took to prepare it. As a result, I ask for compensation for present app and generally get it. What is often not awarded is the time to appear at the fee app, cause you cannot know that charge until the day you make the appearance.
I have estimated the time for the hearing and had it denied, but not the prep of the app.

This means (as the bench has instructed me), that we can charge for every fee app except the present one, since work on it is not completed at time of filing it. Thus, unless we do fee apps to continue to get paid for completing fee apps, means in cases where there is only one fee app, we don't get paid to do fee apps.

Are you talking about the
percentage that the trustee takes on chapter 13 plans, or their personal compensation?
