Hi Members:
By now you all have gotten the email from the scammers asking if you do
contract work or can you negotiate a settlement ect and then they send you
big check to deposit to your trust account. THen they expect you to wire
money out to them. THen the check bounces and you get left with a big
whole in your trust account. . . By now I hope you know not to do that.. .
. and no I heard about the scam and played along just to get the big check
and then turned it over to Bank to investigate. Fun!
But here is another . . . INVOICES FROM LEGAL VENDORS. Take a look at the
Invoice I got from Fastcase, Inc. I have Fastcase through LA Bar
Association. I don't have invoice due to them. I suspect if I click on
links in this email I will get a virus of some sort. Also notice the "
replyTo@quickbooks.co" which is not a legitimate. So I called Fastcase,
Inc. Nope it is a scam. I suspect we will see these kinds of links from
all kinds of law vendors.
I wonder if this is how ISIS is getting funded? Anyway. . . just wanted to
share it with you for those who might get confused. This one was
especially authentic looking and I almost took the bait. FYI.
If you have any questions or should you need any additional assistance, I
am here to help. Have a fantastic day!
