Current interest rate for priority taxes

I'm not a tax expert and this is based on my personal interpretation as a
young and inexperienced lawyer.
For chapter 11, I use:
http://www.dol.gov/ebsa/calculator/inte ... ables.html
So 3% right now. Unless it's a C-corp that owes more than 100k. Then you
tack on an additional 2%. These rules get a bit technical and I'm not
familiar with them at all. I suggest you read:
http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/26/6621
You have to use the interest rate on the month of confirmation. It's updated
quarterly.
Also, this is not for all priority tax but IRS priority. I'd check the proof
of claim.
Sincerely,
Michael Avanesian Esq.
