I had a couple who are clients and who seemed to be the model of
cooperation with each other when I started working with them a couple of
months ago. They are separated for some time.
I have worked with other divorcing/separated couples over the years
without incident.
Now the soon to be ex-wife has become emotional and volatile and
claiming her ex owes her for a house she has been maintaining.
So now that she is claiming she is his creditor, I have a conflict. I
never got conflict waivers, which with 20/20 hindsight I guess I should
get with any separating couple, or once a supposedly together couple
starts divorcing.
So, any suggestions how to handle this situation?
