Conformed copy

Ok, this question asks for more information than is being supplied.
In the old days, when we wanted to prove a document was filed, we took an extra copy of the window and asked the clerk to conform the second copy. filing stamp. That second copy was then considered "conformed".t has been stamped across the top with the courts filing stamp.
The word is being misused if someone is just asking for a copy of the filed document, together with a print out of the ecf receipt, but that is what is usually given.

Conformed copy shows the judge it was actually filed.

A conformed copy is an exact copy of a document filed with a court. A
conformed copy isn't certified, just a true and exact copy of the original.
No difference between a conformed copy and a courtesy copy for the most
part.
