Hi all,
I have a client with a legitimate discharge violation claim against a
creditor. The case was closed in 2012 and it was handled by a different
attorney. Do I even need to bother with a substitution of attorney at this
point? Why wouldn't I be able to re-open the case without a formal
substitution? The reason why I ask is that I may actually have to go this
route (not by choice).

Hi all,I have a client with a legitimate discharge violation claim against a creditor. The case was closed in 2012 and it was handled by a different attorney. Do I even need to bother with a substitution of attorney at this point? Why wouldn't I be able to re-open the case without a formal substitution? The reason why I ask is that I may actually have to go this route (not by choice).
