Trustees going after IRAs?

Someone just informed me that there is a case (presently on appeal)
regarding the ability of a Trustee to ignore 522(b)(3)(C) and go
after all or part of a debtor's IRA. Can anyone confirm this and,
if so, provide a cite to the underlying case?
