Procedure for declared homestead on a mobile home

Mark,
Obviously if the mobile home sits on land owned by the homeowner the homestead declaration is recorded with the county recorder of the county in which the property is located. I have not done one for a mobile home not sitting on real property. Title and lien documents are done through the California Department of Housing and Community Development. As the statute in question allows homestead declarations for mobile homes, I believe any homestead declaration is recorded at that office.
