Dear Colleagues!
I just wanted to thank our President, Nancy Clark and the Board of Directors of cdcbaa and the cdcbaa members and Public Counsel for sponsoring, promoting and/or attending the Jim King event yesterday. It was an incredible success! The Court was both pleased and surprised at the incredible turnout to honor our friend and colleague.
I wanted to express a special thank-you to Dennis McGoldrick, the M/C for the event, Christine Kingston, Roksana Moradi and Sylvia Lew for their incredible efforts to pull this event together! And of course, an incredible thank-you to our friends at Public Counsel, Maggie Bordeaux and Christian Cooper whose advice and support was critical to the success of the event.
Never in the history of our Bk Court in the CDCA has an event ever been held in the courthouse itself to honor one individual person. Special thanks must go to our Chief Judge, Sheri Bluebond and to Kathy Campbell, Clerk of the Court and of course to Judge Kwan for allowing us to use his courtroom for this event. This all speaks to how highly regarded and respected cdcbaa has become.
And finally, of course, all of this would have made Jim King even prouder!
