I am familiar with the several recent decisions within the Ninth Circuit concerning issue preclusion in nondischargeability actions for state court judgments following a trial. I am also aware of decisions which have addressed court default judgments. But has anyone come across a decision in which an arbitration award (whether or not later confirmed as a judgment) has been accorded similar status? Thanks in advance...Gary R.
