I need suggestions on how to handle this:
Debtor works in the television industry as a producer (salaried). When he works, he makes pretty good money (around $10k gross per month), but is often unemployed. The last 6 months he was employed, so clearly doesn
He is concerned about getting employed again at a rate that would disqualify him from filing a Ch. 7, yet if he files a Ch. 13 now, he has no money to make any payments.
If he waits about 3 months he should qualify for Chapter 7, but he wants to file now. Ive advised that he wait, but hes concerned about getting a job that will then require him to do a Ch. 13. I advised that he could then do a Chapter 13, but convert to 7 if he becomes unemployed again.
What is the viability of filing a Chapter 7 now? Any other thoughts?
