NACBA Convention in Chicago
Dear Ty:
Airplanes can be purchased for under $10,000.
Mine cost less than your car. Unfortunately, the price you pay has a
direct relationship with the speed the airplane flies. Mine is lucky
to average 125 mph. As a result, it takes two days of 4 hour morning
flights and four hour afternood flights to get to Chicago. Then, of
course, you have to fly back. Flying back, is against the prevailing
West to East winds, so add two or three hours a day to the flying.
The net result is you lose four productive days in the office, plus the
convention time, but you get to see 2/3 of America up close. For this
type of trip, the low and slow, inexpensive airplane, is just too much
trouble.
