Sure it would, but I'm in a time crunch and don't want a repossession
occurring because I wasn't willing to file it with the court (on top of
already refusing to sign the darned thing)

Given that, would it not be better practice to have it returned it to the
creditor and put the burden on them to file it?

I dont sign the attorney certification part of most vehicle reaffirmation agreements. If I file the agreement on behalf of the debtor as a courtesy without signing as the attorney, will the court still automatically schedule the reaffirmation hearing?
