Hi all,
I contacted the Clerk of the Court at the LASC to get to the bottom of the
filing fee inconsistency in filing the Notice of Stay and here is what I
have to report:
If the filing is from the Bankruptcy attorney, a fee should not be
required. The Clerk is going to announce this to the staff--not sure when,
but this is what I was advised. If you continue to experience an issue at
the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, you may a ask to see Mina Garcia or Rochelle
Young. They are both managers located in Room 426 and would be happy to
address any concerns.
If it's possible to get the information regarding the clerk who's requiring
a fee to have the matter placed on the record, please email me the
information and I will forward it to the Clerk. Please let me know if it's
a courtroom clerk as opposed to a filing window clerk so that the Clerk of
the Court can correct the situation with that person.
Thanks,
