WOW that is aggravating that I can not think of many claims other then
negligent and intentional infliction of emotional distress, maybe fraud?
In addition to LAPD, I would notify FTC and State AG. Brown is running for
governor so who knows what he would like to pick up -- small potatoes
(non-donors) who prey on old ladies sounds right up his alley.

"Exactly."

Let your client's beware. An elderly lady who retained me for a Chapter 13 received a notice taped to her front door from a company called Break Point Services - Joe Ramirez. The notice was titled Trustee Sale Notice and was attached to an incomplete NOD. The NOD says at the bottom it is not a legal notice and is for informational purposes only. I reviewed her chain of title and called her lender - they have not recorded any NOD.
I called the LAPD fraud unit will not take any action and will not investigate.
I am now letting all my client's know if they get anything like this to call me immediately. Just wanted to get the word out to everyone else. This is the second such posting my client base has received.
