I taught Art 2/Art 9 for at least 20 semesters (until the school made the class an elective about 10 years ago). My goal with Art 9 was to convince the students to run the other direction if some client really needed the lien creation and perfection done right. Most bankruptcy lawyers have a good knowledge of how it works. If you have the slighest sense that you need to know more than you do, run to the nearest expert. I will not give advise to client about how to do it. It is quicksand of the highest order and it's worth what it costs to get a real expert. JH
