See Civil Code Section 2982(r) which addresses no "cooling off period" but a
2-day cancellation option on used vehicles with a purchase price of less
than $40,000.

I have it in my head that there a person buying a car on credit in CA has a
three day right to rescind, but I cannot find the authority for that
proposition. Anyone know the cite in CA or federal law.
