In case you're interested, I have been sending my Chapter 7 clients to an attorney in Orange County who has been successfully negotiating the "buy off" of second and third liens and getting theDOTs re-conveyed to the borrowers for approximately 3-5% of the loan balance. In this way, my clients are getting the benefits of filing a Chapter 13 without the hassel or much of the expense.
