Great Line from Judge Albert today

An atty on the phone today asked Albert to take judicial notice that Bank of America bought the assets of Countrywide and now owns them (the evidence profs cringe!). Albert said "I can't do that. I can take judicial notice of the molecular makeup of water and that today is Wednesday." The atty, undeterred said, "Its been in all the papers!!" Albert said, "In 1939 it was in all the papers and on the radio that Martians had just landed in New York."
btw, Albert made a snide remark about In re Hwang (Bufford's opinion) and how everybody is trying to latch on to the reasoning about how the creditor has to prove the ownership of the loan before it can get relief. Albert's not on that particular boat.
