Ch. 13 Proof of mortgage payments

I have a PNC for a Ch. 13 case who is joint owner of his home. The
other joint owner is not his spouse.
The joint owner typically makes all the mortgage payments on the last
day they are due at the bank branch.
I'm concerned about the proof required for the Trustee on the Mortgage
Declaration form. If the the debtor's partner makes the payments, does
the debtor still need to file the mortgage declaration? And, if so,
should the declaration be signed by the debtor's partner who made the
payments? I'm probably being too technical here, but just curious what
everyone does on these.
THanks
