Chapter 13 refund when there is a Chapter 7 following?

PC recently was dismissed from Chapter 13 case after a year, Trustee is holding 5 figures of funds, but Trustee fees and some other possible claims on funds haven't been determined yet.
Trustee will presumably refund some funds.
Two questions:
1. How long after the dismissal will Chapter 13 Trustee make the refund?
2. If PC files a Chapter 7 shortly, will the Chapter 13 Trustee pay the funds over to the Chapter 7 Trustee?
