Vicki:
that is converted under section 1112, 1208, or 1307 of this title, other than a claim specified in section 503(b) of this
title, shall be treated for all purposes as if such claim had arisen immediately before the date of the filing of the petition.
yes, in fact, you can convert a 7 to a 13, and try to pay the debt, and if the debtor fails to repay the debt, convet back to 7, and the same rule applies, the debt is considered prepetition. Specialists know this rule.
I did this once with a postpetition dog bite (remember postpetition is not hypenated, see 549 and 552, no hyphen in prefix, no hyphen in prepetition.icki properly spelled postpetition.)

Subject: [cdcbaa] dischargeable?
I've read 348(d) and 349 but am still not sure.
Debtor filed ch 7. Debtor incurs postpetition debt, then converts to 11.
Case converted back to 7. Is the postpetition debt considered to be
prepetition and it becomes an unsecured debt?
Thank you. Vicki
