Chapter 13 Procedure and Process Question; Short Sale After Confirmation

Debtor is behind on his mortgage payments and lender moved for relief.
Debtor now wants to short sell the property. Do I need to motion the court
to obtain permission for the Debtor to short sell?
I understand that after all of this transpires, I will need to amend his
Schedule J and modify the Plan that has been confirmed.
The question is in what order do I proceed? Judge is Julia Brand
